I am 7 weeks pregnant now but have been having dull ache type pains since 3 weeks. i have been to the doctors and he says not much really to do at moment it could just be settling pains. They are very deep and in the middle ish and very much like heavy period pains.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am i worrying over nothing??

Don't worry, this is totally normal. I had the same but for some reason, it never seems to be mentioned in the books. I spent weeks thinking I was about to miscarry. It's just your womb settling into its new shape (and role!)

Oh, and congratulations!

What do they mean? That you shouldn't set your heart on anything?! It really is normal, hope it stops soon for you though.

I had very achy period pains for the first 6 weeks - my doctor gave me the impression that things were not good - but I had a baby girl on 18th September - she is very well!

I had pains early on and was told that when you are in the early stages of pregnancy you have a small cyst on one of your overies which gives of chemicals until the placenta starts to kick in at around 8-10 weeks. The cyst could cause period like pains (nothing to worry about). Im 26 wks now and baby is fine.

One of the reasons I delayed doing a pregnancy test this time around was because I had achey period pains and felt as though AF was due at any moment. It's also pretty common to have similar pains around the time of your second missed AF. I'm now 24 weeks pg and so far everything is fine.
