when did u feel baby move? paranoid i've not!!

I am completely paranoid i will admit it, i had a MC with my first pregnancy and early bleeding with this one also my sister had a MC when i was 10 weeks bringing all the worry back. I've had 3 scans at 6 weeks 14 weeks and 16 weeks all going fine but can't shake the worry something bad will happen. I'm desperate to feel him move n still nothing! i'm only 18 weeks and doc says may be up to 22 weeks before i feel him but would love to hear others experiances of early movement as everyone i've asked says about 16 weeks!!

About 20 weeks and then it would have been easy to miss, I think.

Don't be thinking it's gonna be a massive kick at first like in films!

Very very faint flutterings at about 18 weeks, only if I lay very still for at least 10-15 mins. Only because the midwife primed me. I wouldn't have recognised them particularly if I was walking about, very easy to mistake for digestion/trapped wind bubbles.

My mate didn't feel anything til 21 weeks.

At 19 weeks a friend felt my tummy and said SHE could feel movements. It took another couple of weeks before I spotted them.

I know it's not easy, but try to relax. I also MC and bled on and off till I was 20 weeks pg. I was a nervous wreck. But all was fine in the end - I hope it will be for you too.

About 19 weeks but it was very faint. I was told 16 weeks was more for subsequent babies when you recognise the earliest signs.

First time I remember feeling movement it was 20-21 weeks, but actually happening earlier but I had no idea what I was feeling for and had thought it was just indigestion.

Only worked it out when I saw the baby kick on the scan and felt it at the same time (even then I checked with the sonographer cos I wasn't sure)

I'm nearly 23 weeks and don't think I've felt anything yet. I'm not worried though as a few friends have had very quiet babes-to-be. Apparently it's easy to miss if it's just a gentle flutter.

about 18 weeks with my first and about 20 weeks this time with second. :)

I've been feeling stuff from very early on (12wks ish) but it's very intermittent. When I described it to MW she said it wad def. baby as there's no way my bowls would be making those kinds of movements (I was getting definite buttings, as if baby was repeatedly swimming into the front if my uterus). BUT I am VERY unusual at being able to feel this with DC1. As others have said, it's very easy to not notice these early movements. There's also a change that you have an anterior placenta, which cushions most of the bumps/flutters you'd feel at the front (where you're more likely to feel stuff early on). I'm now 19wks and panicking regularly as the movements are so inconsistent and don't happen for days at a time.

Kiki I felt my little girl "properly" at 24 weeks! I was worrying as well but MW kept reassuring me it's normal - first baby + low and anterior placenta (it's moved now but I guess it was cushioning the movements lower down).

She's not much of a kicker anyway and I'm still waiting for a really hard kick (had only a few of those :) I think she uses her hands more and I got lots of tickles esp. around my bellybutton which can be weird ;)

It was about 21 or 22 for me. I blamed the delay on the padding between me and baby!

About 21 ish weeks. My baby doesn't kick though, it wriggles and it's only since about 32 weeks ish that I feel it all the time.

about 18 w with dc1 and 16w with dc2, I could see my tummy bouncing as well as feeling 'bubbles'.
at first only when lying down, though.

About 21 weeks - but only faintly and not very many. Then a few weeks later I could feel him rolling and kicking and pushing so much!

Actually I didn't feel all that much throughout pregnancy. I had quite a lot of uterine fluid, and this will also muffle the movements you feel.

If it's your first I think wd be very unusual to feel it by 16 weeks. With Dd think I felt the first goldfish blowing bubble feelings at about 18 weeks but wasn't sure if it was really her. First proper little thuddy kicks probably about 21 weeks.

This time round it was much sooner because you spot the little bubbly feelings earlier on.

Don't panic, in a few weeks your baby will be whacking you like there's no tomorrow!

I have felt this baby - first at 15 weeks (my 3rd), but I haven't felt it in the last couple of days, which is making me v paranoid. I have to keep reminding myself that you don't really feel it in a major way until 20ish weeks, so thanks for the reminder! Also, if your placenta is at the front of your uterus, you'll feel baby less.

I felt the first proper kicks (all 3 of them !) at 20 wks exact! Was layin in the bath and having a wee prod about my tummy no expecting much of a response then whack! Got straight out and text everyone!!

Had felt the 'bubbles' for few weeks before but as this is my first baby, I was unsure if it was movements

Most of the crazy kicks and wriggling for me happened around 23 - 30 wks. Watching belly just jumping around was quite a sight!

Now at 35 weeks, baby is quiet through the day but still fairly active at night. More rolling around now but if I lay on my left side and place my hand on my side, I can feel her wee feet kicking

I'll def miss all this when not preg anymore. It's a lovely feeling

Around 20 weeks with ds1 just Luke butterfly's and 13 weeks with ds2 but they were like little taps rather than fluttering

I felt proper movement at about 21 weeks. I think I had felt stuff a bit earlier on, but it certainly didn't feel like butterflies or bubbles for me, which is what caused me to not think it was the baby. Felt more like a little internal whoosh (like when you are nervous about something).

About 22 weeks with DD and about 23 weeks with DS (as yet still resident in my tummy). Placenta at front really damped feeling with DS. Even now it feels so different. Don't worry - tonnes of ladies don't feel anything until 20 weeks +.
