I do reflexology and would suggest if you want it doing to have it done with a ART reflexologist as they have had further training and will be more aware which areas better to work on etc. Or alot of the time you are just ending up with a foot massage at some clinics.

Thanks. The lady i saw spent longer on certain areas and also showed me wot they r- middle of big toe, nr inside ankle & heel & also opposite on the outside :-)

Hi Jimmijam, just posting to see if baby has arrived yet? Hope all is well x

Vakant · 17/09/2011 22:09

I had reflexology at 40 + 10 and went into labour that evening. Of course I can't say for sure that that is what kicked it off, buy as others have said it was a relaxing way to spend an hour and help relieve the boredom of waiting for baby to arrive.

Yes I tried it. It cost me £45. I was 40+10. No, it didn't work. It felt vaguely nice bit I wish I'd saved the £45 to treat myself to something nice during my chronic birth recovery.

Hi i was actually in labour wen i wrote my last post but didnt know it, baby boy born @ 8,12pm weighing 8lb 11oz on 10th sept. All went well.
Another mum said her & some of her friends had a local takeaway pizza & went into labour next day, im sure it had nothing 2 do with it but id taken her advice the night b4 giving birth :-)
£45 sounds expensive, i paid £25ish for 50minutes. Shame u didnt find it worthwhile :-(

Congratulations jimmijam!!! Sorry for late posting, not on here much. Am now 40 + 2 and desperate to get baby out.... am trying everything. Didn't hear back from the reflexologist so going to try elsewhere x

Hope you are enjoying the first few snuggly days with your little boy Smile

jimmijam · 24/09/2011 12:27

Thanx natz ! Hes 2 weeks old 2day!
That last waot seems so frustrating, esp wen u go over! Have u got an induction date so u know u wont b pregnant longer than x days? Thing is i think after most ppl miss being pregnant, feeling someone move about inside u, so perhaps try make the most of it.if thats @ all possible? (i didnt manage it v.well) :-)

Baby was born yesterday after a decision to induce me after suspected pre-eclampsia! She is lovely and so snuggly. Can honestly say I don't think I will miss being pregnant this time, I did with my first but then I didn't have 2 other children to look after and a horrific chest infection Smile
hope you are settling in well with baby, am now getting used to the on demand feeding again and just gritting my teeth through the tender nipple stage....!!
All the best to you xx
