I've ripped all the skin off my feet and big patches on legs and arms. What can I make them do?

I have another thread on here about itching and being tested for Obsetric Cholestasis. My results came back normal but I still have this itching.

It is everywhere and I am starting to fear for myself with it.

My feet are bandaged as I have taken patches of skin about 2 inches long and an inch thick missing from both feet. My legs and arms and hands are all bloody.

I'm not sleeping. Last night was the longest I have slept and I still woke up through the night itching and woke up this morning with bloody hands.

They said I need to wait for a dermatologist appointment but yesterday said I might go crazy before I actually get one.

I've already had numerous problems through this pregnancy, is there nothing they can do? Am I actually going to be left like this even though I am obviously causing great distress to myself ripping all of my skin off?

Please someone help.

Get to your GP and don't leave till they do something.
I've got no advice, but wanted to offer support. Do you have other symptoms?

I've been to my GP the other day. :( All anyone has done is give me Eurax cream (that burns) or anti histamines (that don't work)

I don't think I have any other symptoms... I don't even have a rash. :(

Could you go to a & e and demand treatment from there? It sounds hideous and you shouldn't be left to wait for a referral in that state.

I thought about that, but what more could they do?

I really don't think they are going to take how serious this is.

They seen yesterday I have big patches of skin missing and I am basically just being told I just have to cope with it... But I can't.

A&E will take it seriously. I went at 28 weeks for something wrong with my eye and I saw an ophthalmology consultant the next day. And it wasn't even my NHS Trust.
Go and see them. You shouldn't be left like this. It's stressing you out and stress is not good in pregnancy. There'll be someone they can page/get you referred to v quickly.

I've now come up in hundreds of bumps on my inner thigh, I thought they were bumps from scratching but they're definitely not.

A and E. Now.

Surely they would take me more seriously than the maternity dept though? Not wanting to sound completely selfish but when in Maternity it feels as long as the baby is okay then nothing else matters. :(

Agree A&E and don't leave until they can help you.
I had itching and it's mentally crippling too.
I got them to knock me out with t he antihistamine, it was the only way to not scratch.

it's likely it's nothing serious, but it could be a sign of a couple of other things. Go and be safe.
(now, I am not posting this to scare you, but I thought it might help. skin conditions in pregnancy

Where are you Mew? I can ring a taxi firm local to you and pay for a can to get you there. Do you have other DCs you need to get looked after?

Clearly a can won't get you to a&e, but a cab might :)

i agree A&E as well - if you spend another night like that, you could do yourself a proper injury.

They gave me a medication called Ursofalk when I had this. It must be treated so demand help. Good luck xxx

Hi, sorry for taking so long to get back.

The GP still thinks it's OC and it's just been too early to test my bloods so he wants them re tested.

He also said my foot is infected from where I have taken the skin away and has given me steroid/antibiotic cream which a family member is running over to the pharmacy to get me right now.

Here's hoping it works!

Feeling slightly better. Started putting the cream on this morning and it seems to be working a little.

Still didn't get too much sleep last night, my family are saying they're hearing me moaning and almost screaming loudly in the night. I wake myself up moaning while I'm clawing but didn't think I was that loud!

Not much help with the actual itching, but I ended up gaffa-taping oven gloves to DH's hands overnight a few weeks back. He had a severe allergic reaction allover (literally allover too) and was very itchy.

Oeisha My friends have actually been trying to get me to do that for days. :o It would stop me sleeping at all though and if I did I would manage to get out of them somehow.

Yes, thank you, he is. Took some hefty steroids and about 2wks of antihistamines but he's not bright pink and itchy now.

Glad he's better. :) The steroids certainly seem to make a difference!
