I wonder if anybody else had this?

Am 35 weeks into my second pregnancy and don't remember it from the first. I have a strange pressure-like pain in the 'outside area' Blush Feels swollen and painful when I walk, almost bruised-like... Any idea what it could be?

Oh, my first was an emcs, not sure if this would matter...

Vulval varicose veins. Not nice, unavoidable, but essentially harmless. Putting a bit of gentle pressure on them by wearing a maternity ST should ease the discomfort a bit. As the pgcy progresses they may even start bulging and you may be able to see blue veins on your fanjo. Should have no effect whatsoever on labour. They will shrink rapidly once the baby is born (by whatever method) and disappear completely, but it will take some weeks longer before the skin of your fanjo shrinks back to normality.

Welcome to the delights of the womanly art of pregnancy. Wink

Blue bulging veins on fanjo... Good job I can't see it Grin

Good to hear it shouldn't affect labour. Thank you.

Oh, the glamour... I thought flatulence was bad enough...
