i showed early with my 1st and even earlier this time. only one baby both times.

SouthGoingZax · 17/08/2011 21:36

I was in maternity gear at 7 weeks. Twins.

BonzaBlue · 17/08/2011 21:36

I show immediately too. And externally always measure bigger for dates - but scan shows me at the correct sizes (phew!)

I go to pre-natal yoga and there are ladies there who are almost due and have neat little bumps .... and then there is me - 19 weeks and look due !!!
And there is only one in me !

kentDee · 17/08/2011 21:38

Omg! Im now scared. Twins are in my family too. Thanks for your replies ladies. I will just have to wait for my scan date .

I was in maternity clothes by 7-8 weeks this time (no. 2 for us) and there is only one in there. I am showing much earlier this time, was bloated more in early pregnancy and feeling more movement earlier. All in all this second pregnancy is just more and earlier for every except the number of babies in there: it's still one.

WanderingSheep · 17/08/2011 22:13

I was the same in my last pregnancy! With DD1 I didn't start showing until about 4 months either and with DD2 it was much earlier

DH and I got married when I was 12 weeks pregnant and there is a very noticeable bump looking back at the wedding pictures!

Wants3 · 18/08/2011 20:29

Everything is a bit looser the second time around so it's probably just that!

likelucklove · 20/08/2011 07:34

I am 12 weeks and am the same size/maybe bigger as a colleague who is 20 weeks! Went for a scan yesterday, only one. Just the baby being greedy and wants more room :o

dreamc1 · 20/08/2011 10:06

This is my first, and I seem to have a tiny bump @ 7 weeks. I did wonder if that was normal. Having said that, I am tiny, so I'm not surprised.

harrygracejessica · 20/08/2011 11:31

I was in maternity clothes by 8 weeks for the last 2 pregnancies and both times twins - and non in the family either :)

superjobee · 20/08/2011 11:36

with DD i bumped at 12/14 weeks this time round i bumped out at 8 weeks, i made the scan lady check 4 times at my 12 week scan as DP and i both have twins in our families! even made her go right round my bladder and everything but definately just one big fat baby

GibberingGinger · 20/08/2011 22:48

with my 2nd pregnancy I wasn't any larger at all, so the news at the 12 week scan that it was twins was a huge shock. Didn't move to maternity clothes until about 18 weeks, in fact I remember saying to the midwife at 16 weeks that I was worried that I wasn't bigger - she just laughed and said just wait!

Congatulations on your pregnancy, and if it is twins, then you will cope, you just do, honestly Grin

LoveInAColdClimate · 21/08/2011 15:53

I am in maternity work trousers at 10 weeks and have a noticeable bump. Tummy button has also started to pop out Blush. It's my first baby but I'm quite small normally. Have had a scan and been assured there's only one in there!
