Currently feeling like death warmed up, morning sickness started on Tuesday, and I haven't managed to eat more than a slice of toast a day since then.

Any advice?

I'm bloody hungry!! And exhausted!

Why does no-one warn you just how bad it is?!

I was prepared to feel nauseous first thing in the morning, maybe to be sick once or twice but not the debilitating illness that kept me from feeling human for months on end!

I found the worst thing by far was people's lack of understanding - at work, people were openly disparaging that I took over a week off. Even when I returned, I was a total state due to exhaustion and dehydration, and my morning commute - 40 mins on a bus - was hellish!

Hope everyone's feeling better now x

Skim read so sorry if repeating but for me sipping lucazade was my life saver, that and potato waffles with salt Blush

I'm 10+3 now and definately feel better than I did a few weeks ago. I wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of you and thankfully haven't actually been sick, but felt nausous quite a bit. I found that travel sickness bands really helped. I got some really cheap off ebay incase they didn't work (they're like £8 or something in boots! I think i paid a couple of quid including delivery on ebay). I'd put them on as soon as i started to feel sick, usually as soon as i'd had a shower in the morning and for a few of weeks was keeping one on all day. I'm not sure if i've just been lucky and didn't get it that bad or if they really helped but I reckon they're worth a go. It's eased off now and i haven't put them on for a week or so, but keep in my bag just in case.

I agree about the not getting hungry though. At one point I had to have a packet of BBQ hula hoops at around 10am to make it go away. A few comments at work about my healthy diet! Somehow the savouryness really helped.

Cereal like cornflakes are good for breakfast. I used to have granola and fresh fruit but can't face that at the moment.

Hope those of you that are suffering feel better soon x

I was gutted when 12 weeks came and went and I still felt sick! All gone by 16 weeks though.
Salt and vinegar hula hoops were pretty much all I could eat without being sick at first. And chips! Oh and sucking on boiled sweets-mint or fruit!

I tried some seasickness bands from Boots but I'm not really sure whether they made any difference. They reduced me being sick but didn't stop me feeling sick which was worse really cos at least when I'd been sick I felt better for a bit!

Just eat whatever you can stomach really! Hope it eases off soon.

While I feel sick pretty much all of the time, I haven't actually been sick yet, thank God.

I'm bloated and feel like a balloon has been put inside me and someone blows it up at about 6pm... Evenings are the worst, haven't had a proper dinner for about a fortnight. And when I do all I want is chicken Super Noodles :)

I also have the weird feeling sick to my stomach/so hungry I could eat a horse thing going on as well - that's interesting!

Hope you all feel better soon!

Have just started this past week feeling sick. Today, I discovered the smell of washing up liquid makes me gag, but hopefully this means other half will do all the washing up!

Hi. I felt sick as a dog, worse than previous 3 pgs. I bought travel sick bands from Asda. As soon as I started wearing them (all day) the sickness went! I'm now 16+5 and feel full of energy and great. However I did buy them at 12 weeks, so it might have been coincidence. Anythings worth a try and I hope you all feel better soon, so glad that bits over!
