Can I take Floradix as well as iron supplements?

Hi
I'm 16 weeks pregnant (and 5 days!) and have a haemoglobin level of 10.5ng/ml. The midwife has given me their pregaday iron tablets and has said to take two tablets a day (200mg in total). Does that sound like a lot to anybody? I was considering taking 100mg?? Also, whether I take 100 or 200mg a day, can I take Floradix as well our would this be too much iron? Also, does anybody know if my haemoglobin level is really low or just below average?
Thank you very much...

From what I remember, I think the normal iron level is around 11/ml. I was anaemic with all my pregnancies and ended up on Iron tablets - in fact with No 3 I was found to be anaemic at the first appointment, and started supplements straight away.

Like you, I was prescribed twice a day. I would say that you shouldn't take Floradix in addition as it can be harmful to have too much iron.

From memory, my levels hovered around 8/9ml mark.
