I think it should be ok as lots of pregs people drink it for the leg cramps- supposed to help

Lollystix is right! I drank tonic water every day for the cramps. Got 3 during entire pregnancy. Also did lots of yoga.

If you believe everything that "might" be bad for you in pregnancy, you'd never eat anything, drink anything or go anywhere!

Thanks ladies! I guess i can enjoy my tonic waters from now on!

After chatting with a friend of mine she said she heard it too, apparently women used to take it in large doses many many years ago to attempt to bring on an abortion. Used in combination with a hot bath and a bottle of gin possibly. Shock

My midwife recommended drinking it to cure leg cramps.

Tis not the same without the gin though.
