Hi,

I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant and was starting to think about visiting the labour ward, at what stage is it advised to go and have a look around? My hospital do weekly visits.

Thanks

I didn't, our hospital doesn't allow them. Can't imagine it matters that much when you go, guess before 36 weeks ish?

Never. They don't do it anymore at my hospital, they show a video instead, what to expect etc.

I saw the video at about 30 weeks though (I think!)

Don't think ours accepts visits either - so wasn't until I was in labour.

Ours accept visit but only with first dc. Which I disagree with as was very ill with first and couldnt remember anything, I was scared also to go back and think it would of helped me.
I went at about 35/36 weeks which was a good time to go.

I went at 32 weeks - they didn't accept people before 30 weeks.
However, I had to book weeks in advance as the places go quickly - so whilst you are wondering about when to go, I would give them a call to make sure you'll be able to get a space at all!!
