I am abt 6 wks now and am reading all abt food I can/can't eat but they all say different things. can someone tell me the definate ones to stay away from, thank u x

I got more relaxed about it, the nearer I got to the end (mainly the third trimester) but I never ate pate, blue cheese or raw egg (oh how I missed licking the bowl after making chocolate cake!)

The Food Standards Agency used to have an excellent website most of which has now been incorporated into the NHC Choices Food & Drink in Pregnancy section:

Things to note include that although you can't eat soft blue cheese and mould ripened cheeses such as brie normally, you can eat them when cooked so a pizza with rocquefort on it is okay as is a wedge of deep fried brie.
