how early did u all get them and where?

i start getting them when i was 8 mths pg and got abit around my hips and on my thighs..

got them on the day I was 10 days overdue little sausage was 14 days overdue I keep thinking if only he'd been a bit earlier!

i creamed my bump, bum and hips every day & was delighted that my efforts were paying off as no stretchmarks except for a tiny one on boob!! then after i'd had baby (and could see my legs again), saw that they were all done the fronts of my thighs ... boo hoo.

creaming DOES help - regardless of what every one else says!!! at least you know that you've done everything you can to prevent them!

I didn't get any. Used Clarins Huile Tonique, which seems to be highly recommended by lots of people. It could of course be completely coincidental, but it does smell lovely and felt very pampering using it every day.

Mandy I went through bottles of that stuff!

and i went thru bottle of baby oil but im gald i did use it as it may either be the same or worse!! ill never know

Agree with the moisturising as I didn't get any with either pregnancy. Used Tescos one specially designed for pregnant women (not sure if they still do it as it was years ago) when pregnant with DD. Then, more recently, used Avent one.
Slap it on and cross your fingers !

I tried every cream going (spent a small fortune) and got them right up to a few inches under my boobs. So in my case the stretch marks are hereditary thing proved true I'm afraid.

I only had one mark on my tummy until I was around 30+ weeks....I smothered myself in everything! Palmers coco butter, an avent one,boots mum to be cream etc. I even used a shower cream designed to help. BUT sadly they did arrive!!! My tummy now looks similar to a map of the london underground !!! DD is 7 months and I have tried a stetch mark fade cream from Tesco..they are still here! DH tells me that they are part of life and shows what I have been through. Bless him. We have just returned from holiday, I thought I would be embarassed in a bikini but you know what...I was proud..proud that I have got a daughter who is healthy and who we love dearly. Didn't like the wobberly bits in the bikini but thats another story .

i got most of mine when i went over the due date. suddenly my bump got a lot bigger.

how old was your LO when you moved him/her from a cot to a bed?

Suprising as i have superwhite skin and was expecting to look like a roadmap by the end of my pregnancy!

it all started on my boobs from about 12 weeks pg and went to my belly and then my bum and then my legs!
6 stone to 10 stone in 9 months

Last time got them in the last month, all over the underside of bump, this time tba!

From about 5-6 months preg. Around bottom of bump. They were really purple until about 4 months after the birth then turned white. Barely visible now. They don't really bother me.

got them around 37 weeks just when I thought i had gotton away with it but you know what....what a small price to pay when you look and see what you have!

arounnd eight months. thought I had got away from them but was lieing down one day on the sofa with a wee top on and my exh pointed them out. was so gutted.

i better start applying the lotions and potions then! least then i'll know i did all i could ... only 9 weeks so thought it was a bit early but clearly not!off to boots asap hehe
