i'm 26+5 and this baby's givin me real hassle today/last night, first I couldn't sit up in bed, now I'm not comfy at my desk.

help!!!! it's the first time i've had horrid pains/aches in my side/back he's normally 'central' so I only have kicks - how can I shift him away from my appendix scar??? - it's really hurting now!

HELP!!!!

no one? is this around the 'normal' time for discomfort? I know it's not wind

walking about isn't helping - when I can actually get out of my chair! lol. (like a little old lady!)

I don't really know the answer. just give him a few pokes to let him know whose boss?

ItllBeLonelymumThisChristmas · 02/12/2005 16:04

Argh! sorry who's

munz · 02/12/2005 16:07

lol - tried that last night - bugger wasn't moving at all!

also tried rubbing, and shaking him but I think he's being bossy! lol.

I used to just push mine, keeping the pressure there until they moved. Nothing seems to work for long tho, even if you do get them to shift, if they find that comfty, they soon seem to come back again.

a bath?

go swimming?

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 02/12/2005 16:36

Try kneeling on all fours or at least forward, so your belly hangs down. Gives the baby most room to move about

munz · 02/12/2005 16:45

will try the all fours thing tonight, the things we do!

just stood for a cup of tea seemed to get better - worse now sitting again thou - only 15 mins till home time !

hopefully he'll move!

is it normal to start feeling sick again as well? I haven't done since about 14 weeks (and even then I was only physically sick once all PG)

I got sick again in the last trimister. That all fours thing does work well, and also on the bed over leaning forward onto a cushion, sort of bum up in the air. It tends to make baby move up a bit.

I'm sure I read somewhere that an icecube would work?!

I remember getting stuck in the bath one day. I lay down and so did dd (I assume) but when I tried to pull myself up she wouldn't shift and it was really uncomfortable. I had to lie there for nearly 20 mins even though I kept prodding to no avail.

Nemoinapeartree · 02/12/2005 17:35

munz sickness can come and go

to move baby i used to either
go on all fours
have a fizzy drink and when its moving give a helping hand to comfortable position
put a bag of veg or something from freezer on tum.

ooh thanks girls will keep trying, he's on one blinking side and it's only pain ful cos of my scar- wouldn't mind the other side! lol. tried all 4's to no avail - well about 10 mins peace lol - standing up seems to work best tbh thou - it's just then sitting down/getting up esp!

ho hum DH tried to shake him about - he moved and went straight back! lol. urghhh! hopefully he'll move properly in a day or so.

well he did move late on friday night (assumed as no pain sat morning upon waking!) but he's left me with 3 (yes 3) rather large horrid strech marks/red marks right cross the scar. seems bio oil isn't working too well!

(found best thing was to lay on left hand side.) and DH gave him a firm shaking about! lol.
