Anyone Rhesus D negitive and positive? I'm confused!

Due to have Rhesus D neg injection today at 28 wks, just been informed that blood reults state I am both negitive and positive. Mid wife says they have sent bloods off to specialist lab and it will be 2 wks before they decide if I need injection or not. Surely if I have positive blood cells in me then it shouldn't be a problem? Bit confused. Anyone know anything or been in similar situation.

I think you may be confused. You are D neg but may be positive for antibodies. This may be why the blood sample was sent to the lab. Clarify with your midwife. You should try to never leave an appointment uncertain. Always chat with your midwife or this can cause anxiety for you .

My brother's blood had to be resent as they couldn't put him as B+ Or B-. Eventually they put him as B-. Not sure why this happens.
As it happens I am B- like my mother. My dad is B+!

Got it sorted, apparently I do have both in my system, both positive and negative but I am considered a weak negative. Therefore I don't need anti d and will be treated with positive blood if necessary. 3 midwives I spoke to didn't know this existed, nor did my GP, so it's all pretty new.
