Is this a breech trying to turn?

So am 33 weeks and ds is currently breech. Am aware this is not yet something to be concerned about.

So I've noticed that over the last few days I can see/feel his head and bum sideways so is this him trying to turn?

It could be. Both mine turned at about 36 weeks. It was quite painful and I knew it had happened. It felt like someone was giving me a good kicking from the inside as if they were kicking their way out.

I was like MNTA - DD turned at 34.3 - it was painful and I knew all about it. She ended up being born a few days later.

My dd was breech. She turned once then a little while later returned to the breech position. I gave birth to her that way! I had acupuncture to help her turn but but breech was her favoured position. Your baby sounds a bit more active than mine was. Maybe he is going to turn. Fingers crossed.

I am expecting it to be painful but was kinda hoping you might tell me it wasn't.

mountaingirl not going to lie the thought of birthing like this does scare me.

I think in the UK breech births are normally cesarean. I had dd in France and was so p'd off that dh was not allowed to be in theatre that I asked to have her naturally. Three pushes and she was out. Wasn't the most pleasant experience but then giving birth either way isn't!

When dd turned I didn't find it painful nor when she turned back to her preferred position. Maybe there was a reason why PadneHum's baby came early.

lovebeingable have you read ina may gaskin's guide to childbirth. Tis lentil weaving-tastik but she has delivered tons of breech babies vaginally. Apparently loads turn before or during labour. But you will be offered a cs if yours stays breech.

My DS1 was pretty much permanently breech which I actually quite liked - I could stroke his head all the time as it was at the front of my bump .

I had an ECV done at about 37 weeks I think and it worked well - was fairly straightforward and he stayed put until he was finally born at 40+16. Just thought I'd mention it as an option if yours does stay breech. Good luck!

Sorry. I did not mean to cause upset. My DD came at 35 weeks, 6lbs10 and very healthy. My uterus was just shot after 3 pregnancies and the baby turning was the final straw. I am sure you will be 100% fine
