6 DAYS LATE BUT NEGATIVE RESULT

I've put this on the pregnancy board as you guys are already there and may have had some experience of this. I have a regular as clockwork cycle, every 24 days. I'm now on day 30 with no period, a little period type pain and very sore boobs. I did a test (second wee of the morning) which was negative. I have a whopping migraine but am hesitant to take my meds in case I may be pregnant as I've been caning them recently on a 3 week migraine bender. My DS is 3 this week and I had a period when pregnant with him so didn't find out till 8 weeks but popped only one pill in that month. How many of you had negative test results but were actually pregnant?

I had a feeling I was pregnant, sounds daft but I couldn't shake the idea that I was. I tested on 16th December and it was negative, then again on Christmas Eve and it was negative. On New Years Eve I was still convinced I was pregnant so did one last test (with DH telling me it would be negative) and it popped up positive. I was two days shy of four weeks (3+5) when I got the positive test, working off my actual due date given at the 12 week scan.

Try waiting a few day and testing again, or testing with a different brand (I got my positive off an Asda own brand). If it's still negative then see your GP about getting a blood test done.

I had a negative test 2 days after the day my period was due, then a positive test a week later.

I would go to your GP and get a blood test so at least you know whether to take your meds or not!

I had several negative test and then a small bleed which I took to be my period so gave up hope. Two weeks later felt "different" and bloated....tested positive!

Going to the well woman clinic tomorrow. Just put in my last period on the due date calculator. If I am pregnant, I'll will have conceived on my last conjugal visit to London (hubby works there) so that would tally. Dirty Wednesdays may have finally paid off. Time or bloods will tell. In the meantime, I have the migraine from hell and a 3 year old to look after. Happy days.

Hi I had 2 negatives and I knew I was as I had lots of strange things happening very very early on that had never happened to me!

Went doctors he wouldnt test me said I want if had 2 negatives said unless I was 2 months late and not to worry about it as lots of young girls miss peroids (im nearly 30 lol).

Did 2 tests in morning cheapo ones couldnt harldy see lines or didnt know if imagining it and my mum said she couldnt see anything.

I then did a test the day after in the middle of the day clearblue after my friend, sister and mum all saying I wasnt and I was.

So there you go not saying your pregnant but saying the tests not always right but you dont get a false positive aparantly.

I dont agree with the early response ones thou I did one 4 days before missed period negative but then read on internet they can cause alot of worry for woman who have chemaical pregnancys so that put me right off using them again.

Let us know what happens and if the doctor wont do anything clearblue digital are goodxx

I had 2 negatives too. I was due to come on on the 24th of June but didn't test positive until the 6th of July! I had given up hope a bit but I just didn't feel like myself at all. I was grumpy, bloated, sore and had some spotting so forced myself to test again and it's been positive since! Don't give up just yet.

My GP told me that if you get a positive HPT then it's definitely positive (he doesn't even retest to confirm now) but if you get a negative it doesn't mean you're not.
