Anyone had a 3mm nuchal measurement?

My SIL (29) is mentalling a bit, so I am asking here for her.

At her 13 week scan (well thats what her dates changed to), she had a 3mm nuchal measurement at UCLH. They said this is high and could be indicative of a congenital heart problem and referred her for a detailed heart scan at 22 weeks. Combined results came in at 1:15,000. She is obviously very worried about this. Does anyone have any experiences?

Yes it can indicate heart probs, equally it could mean nothing. I think 3.5mm is the cut off in our area.

Fwiw, ds had a 4.6mm nuchal, well beyond the 99th centre and is absolutely fine.

Try the antenatal tests & choices board where you will get loads of good advice.

All the best.

I had 3mm nt measurement in march. I was given 1:250ish probability. I now have a sleepy non-downs baby in my arms x
