Hi ladies! Am very excited as my Baby Jogger arrived today and I love it! Been wheeling it around the living room all day :) Just wondering if any of you know which foot muffs can be used with it? The Baby Jogger one is about £50!! If I have to get it then so be it as I got the buggy for a bargainous £175, but would like to shop around if possible. Thanks!

Oooooh that's the buggy we're hoping to upgrade to for this DC, can I ask where you got it for such a bargainous price? No ideas on the foot muff though I'm afraid... unless you get one of the universal more lightweight varieties that fasten round the handles, like a buggy snuggle?

I've got a buggysnuggle and it's great. They come at various price points. I paid over £50 for mine but it is a sherpa fleece one and they are the most expensive type. There are other fabrics that are cheaper and you can get a 2nd hand one on ebay.

I am going to get a specific footmuff for my BabyJogger (I've got the City Mini) because I want to be able to pull the handle to collapse it without faffing around with a footmuff. I'm getting mine from Snunkie (www.snunkie.co.uk) who custom make footmuffs. I don't know how much they are as I haven't placed my order yet (just bought a deposit slot - you have to buy a deposit slot before placing the order as they are very oversubscribed). But I would think you would get a decent price for it when you are ready to sell it on.

Thanks for your help! I bought ours at John Lewis as they price math everything and the service is great. I also opted for the plain black one which I think is a bit cheaper than the other colours. I've been looking at this footmuff on the John Lewis site:
www.johnlewis.com/230623442/Product.aspx
It says it fits all buggies and looks nice and snug. Good point about the folding mechanism though, will have to have a think!

Price match, not math!

I went with Snunkie but wasn't too happy with the waterproof fabric they used. It was crinkly, cheap and horrible. I was too busy having a baby to think about complaining. The design is ok, but only attaches at the top, so weight of baby pulls it down a bit and it has caught on front wheel a few times.

I too got it (baby jogger city mini) for £175, on offer on boots.com. Which meant I got the points too Grin (and got a new hairdryer with the points as mine was playing up - win-win)

I have heard such good things about this pushchair - am excited to use it - well only 5 weeks to go Grin

I have been trying to get a baby jogger footmuff (because of folding mechanism), but everywhere seems to be out of stock (although I have it on pre-order with kiddiecare - who have put the date of new stock back to 29 Jul 2011...was originally 12th)
Must remember - I need to order a raincover too, had forgot about that. Does anyone know if a generic raincover works - or should I get the baby jogger one

Ladies, I got my red one from pramcentre.co.uk for £155 delivered next day so if you are looking to purchase, def speak to them! I've been on another thread where the lady said she had read some really bad reviews on the Bby Jogger footmuff, so I was planning to do sopme research once darlings are in bed tonight as def going to need it beginning of next week now weather is changing - and the raincover. Found the raincover on online4baby.co.uk at £14.95 so £10 off, orders over £49.99 free and the black footmuff is just £24.95, so if you can make the order up to the above you are saving a fair amount.
Will post any further information I can find out and hopefully we can all get some good deals.

I have a single and double baby jogger and I didn't like the baby jogger foot muffs so have a kaiser one - well two actually, off amazon. They are great- like thick sleeping bags. They fit fine only thing is no hole for the collapsing handle thing in the seat but doesn't bother me, I can still get to it when needed and collapse the buggy.

avocadotoast · 14/11/2014 19:55

Do you know anyone who's handy with a sewing machine? My mum made a footmuff for my little cousin when she was small for a fraction of the cost of shop bought. All you need is some decent quality fleece and some fastenings.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 15/11/2014 09:13

We have a city micro which got when ds1 was 20mths as I like them parent facing before that and we used a buggy snuggle footmuff.

I have a brand new clair De lune one which fits also just sat in store. If anyone wanted it would be willing to post unsure how much to ask for it guess postage would be about £7 as quite bulky so around £20 if anyone was interested equally happy to keep it.

The Britax B-agile and B-motion had the same closing mechanism, so I bough the Britax cosytoes and fits perfectly in the BJ City mini, and no issues with folding as it has the second hole for it. Also I bought the carrier bag for when we are on holiday, and it's much cheaper and better than the BJ one, you actually can fit the buggy folded without removing the wheels, and I got the 4 wheel one, just the tray/belly bar if you had one, but there is still room to put it in, footmuff including.

My only issue now, is that the cosytoes from Britax is getting a bit small for my son, who is tall, so I'm trying to find a XL one that fits the BJ city mini.

Hi,
sorry to also hijack this thread.
cierzo - can please I ask which Britax cosytoes you bought for the BJCM?
There seem to several different types on this site I looked at:

Thank you

With our baby jogger we used a universal black footmuff from mothercare. It was waterproof which is great as the hood is so big we didn't have to fight with the rain cover of we didn't have far to go Smile

ChesterCake · 20/03/2015 17:24

Just to add, with a universal
Footmuff it's so easy to just slip your hand under the footmuff and still fold. We commuted every day and it was still just as quick as easy

Skysmum13 · 10/12/2017 18:16

Hi, can you tell me which Kaiser footmuff you bought that fits well?
