My name is Tracy Bayley and I am a research student from the University of Leeds. As part of my PhD, I am inviting women who are less than thirteen weeks pregnant to take part in a study looking at food cravings and food aversions during early pregnancy. I already have 70 women who have agreed to take part, but my target is 100 and i only have a few months left!

The study requires women to complete a short
questionnaire each time they experience a food craving or food aversion in a seven-day period. I am also researching the relationship between food cravings and food aversions, eating behaviour and general well being, including nausea and vomiting. Women will be
asked to record what they have had to eat and drink, and how they have felt over the same seven-days. There are also two short questionnaires to complete; one at the beginning and one at the end of the study.

If you are interested in taking part, please email me at [email protected]. I will then contact you and explain a little more
about the study. If you decide to take part, I will send you everything you need through the post. You then return the information to me using the freepost envelopes I provide.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any help in this study would be greatly appreciated!

Tracy :-)
