Do your gums stop bleeding after you give birth?

I'm just over 39 weeks now and from mid pregnancy onwards my gums bleed when brushing my teeth.....does this stop after baby is born? Or does breastfeeding/hormones affect them too? Have been to dentist and teeth were ok but due another check shortly. They don't bleed at any other time of the day.

I don't have any cuts, lumps or anything, just sensitive gums!

Another perk of pregnancy ey?!?

ask your dentist for a prescription for corsodyl gel

I use the corsydol mouthwash which helps but will ask about gel.

Just wondering if bleeding gums stops being an issue once baby is here? Then the sleep deprivation kicks in instead Grin
