Has anyone tried these Peacocks maternity trousers?

have had a couple of pairs of maternity trousers from peacocks when I was pg and tbh, I didn't find them that good. The quality is pretty poor but kind of what you would expect for the price of them IYSWIM?

Ah right, i'm just trying to get away with spending as little on maternity clothes as poss, but you're right- the cheap bits that I have bought haven't lasted me or fitted me particularly well. Maybe I should be spending a bit more.

i have these. They are ok, they are little loose around hips/groin but with a longish top they are fine for work. they are very hot though and in the warm weather i'm sweating alot!

Hi again apples. Best place I've found for mat trousers has been next. Yes a bit more money but the ones I got in asda are no good now. The next linen ones are only £20 a pair. I got White and navy pairs and tbh have mostly lived in them the last couple of months. They've so been worth it.

Ooh thanks for the tip Eviepoo!

im waiting until the 'next' sale next week i bought mine in the sale last time and they were great and lasted the full pregnancy.

Eviepoo · 06/07/2011 15:20

Yeah kh, I got my next black cords in the next sale for a tenner, they are ace too. However due to my inner central heating and the warmer weather we are having, the linen ones are way more comfortable now.
I hope you get lucky in the sale! Both of you

I brought them, I agree with dribbleface they are loose around the groin and hips but they came up over my bump which I liked. I wore with long tunic tops on days where I didn't have many meetings.

I have to say that Dorothy Perkins do some really nice comfy black work trousers that were better than these, I think they were £18.

Thanks Vix286, i've just been having a look on the DP website! Smile

I've found the opposite! I think the Next linen trousers look ok for 5 mins and then go all big and baggy like a sack of potatoes!

The George at Asda linen trousers keep a lovely shape all day - I have them in black and a kind of khaki colour.

Lisaklf · 06/07/2011 19:59

I have black work trousers and linens from next which are great but during the hot weather I have lived in 'normal' maxi skirts with the really wide stretchy bit at the top - think there are some in the sales in DPs at the minute.

TBH i found finding well fitting maternity wear really difficult and DP is Shock at the prices of things - he will have it all on ebay the minute I give birth!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/07/2011 20:14

Ebay?

Dummyhunter · 07/07/2011 14:48

I have them on now! - very comfy and stay looking good for ages - however inside leg is 29inches so not for tall people!
