What will happen?

I ahve my 28 weeks appointment at hospital on Monday. It is being done at hospital due to previous SGA babies well baby as personally I don't think DS was small for gestational age, but I am not the professional.

Will it just be the standard tape measure check? They never mentioned a scan so I am guessing I won't have one of those unless they aren't happy with the measurements but I have to admit I haven't really got a clue what to expect but that's nothing new for me really.
You'd think with this being my 3rd I might have some expert knowledge by now.

my 28 week was with midwife at surgery but I was dopplered, measured and had my blood taken for testing.

If you have a history of SGA baby then you would normally be offered at least one growth check scan in addition to the routine 12 and 20 week scan. If that will be happening at this appointment or not I cannot answer, but they often do start to monitor the growth from 28 weeks on.

They never mentioned a scan, and all the scan paperwork I have says they don't routinely check growth due to measurement concerns but I think what I am confused about is why it can't be done at GP practice by regular midwife and if she is concerned then refer it to hospital if that makes sense, that's why I am thinking there might be more to this appointment than I was originally thinking.

Hiya... it depends which hospital you are with as they all have their own methods of doing things... with a history of SGA some will automatically scan you, but the majority will do all the usual routine checks (bloods, urine, weight, check babies heart beat and measure bump for gestational age.) It is probably being done at the hospital so if something does come up then you are there on the premises for either un ultrasound to be done right away or at least to get one booked.
