anyone know what the heck is the nub theory? i believe it is something to do with guessing the sex but i might be wrong.

It is spooks - I can't remember the ins and outs, but it is something like if the nub appears to be pointing upwards then it is a boy, and if it is horizontal, then a girl. I think!

According to the nub theory my bean is a girl, however have 20 week scan Thursday so will let ya know.

Just tracked down my 12 week pic: baby's on his/her side, effectively mooning me, no nub visible. Typical....

Can't see one on 12 week scan of my DD either!

I looked at the nub theory after my scan- it was indicating a boy. But have had two scans since then that have confirmed it is a girl. So i think it is a bit hit and miss tbh. X

It was right for my last baby (boy) and for this one due in 5 weeks (girl), on each 12 weeks scan as clear as a bell. The theory worked for me!
