I am asking this for a work collegue, since I am veggie I would have no idea.

Also nuts that aren't peanuts? eg Cashews

I would eat tem but I am not a very careful eater.

I've eaten them - never really thought about it!!
I also eat cashews, pistachios etc - just not peanuts - I think peanuts are the only no-no.

I think pepperoni and pepparami are OK (I know I've eaten pepparami during this pregnancy).
Zephyrcat's right, other nuts are OK but peanuts are out.

I was told that anything not cooked was out - smoked ham, parma ham, salami etc. Very very boring. As to nuts, I have a mild nut allergy to hazelnuts, brazil nuts and walnuts and have been told to avoid all nuts during pregnancy. (However, on the continent, they laugh out loud when you tell them you can't eat peanuts, over there you aren't allowed a drop of alcohol...)

I avoid all nuts... I do it for eczema reasons rather than allergy ones though - I have never been too sure, and after terrible eczema growing up, I don't want to risk it really.
