Hi all,

Been doing some research on the internet about incompetent cervix (dumb I know as I'm scaring myself silly) becuause I've had some VERY strange discharge which I'm worried could be my mucus plug.

I've read that one of the symptoms of incompetent cervix can be a heavy feeling in the pelvic area. What exactly do they mean by pelvic area?

I've had a very heavy feeling in what I can only describe as my undercarriage(!) It feels like things are swollen and bulging. I had put it down to hormones but now I'm a bit worried... is it normal? I had it in my previous pregnancy but only really remeber it in the run up to my twins' premature birth at 33 weeks...

I think the swelling down bellow is normal - I have it now (28w pg with twins) and had it with dd too. Also, discharge is normal so long as there's no blood in it or it gets runny (as in might have amniotic fluid in it). Sounds normal to me but if in doubt always seek reassurance from mw.

p.s. I'm paranoid about everything and am googling far too much!

How old are your twins now?

Fanjo piles otherwise known as vulval variscosities? (may have Speke it wrong). I've had them - felt like this - no mucus plug issue but heavy discharge. Not serious.

Speke? Sorry 'spelled'
