Baby movement

This is my third pregnancy. I'm exactly 16 weeks, but haven't felt any movement yet (I thought I did a couple of weeks ago but now think it must have been something else). Is that normal? Has anyone else in a second or third pregnancy first felt movement after this stage? I thought that in subsequent pregnancies you can feel movement relatively early....

Totally normal...

As a general rule you can feel movements in a subsequent pregnancy earlier than in the last, but this is because having experienced it before you know what to look out for and how it feels.

How early you feel the baby depends on what position the baby is in, how much fluid is surrounding it, what time of day/night baby may be having a wriggle and the size of the mother.

My first baby i felt at about 18 weeks, my second at about 16 weeks, my third at about 19 weeks and my last at about 16 weeks and i did find that i would notice the flutters and then might not notice them again for a week or so. So please have peace of mind that it is totally normal and you are not alone.x
