NHS Direct, the Early Pregnancy Unit at your local hospital or your midwife if you're worried. Always! They won't mind. They are used to frantic calls from pregnant women and you'll hopefully get the reassurance or support you need. I hope it's nothing Smile

hannah I had these too and phoned NHS Direct to reassure myself! Mine was nothing, just stretching pains, but as PrincessJenga says, call them up, they are lovely and are used to helping people feel better!

okay just tried nhs direct but typically they're too busy to speak to me atm and so am waiting on a call back. pain seems to have gone atm but if it comes back i may just go to my local hospital because it seems to be the only way to get listened to around here!!!! xxx

NHS direct are usually pretty good at call backs though. Honestly don't worry, it sounds to me like the kind of pains I had, and as long as they're not accompanied by bleeding they're usually pretty harmless. If you really are worried though, pop to the hospital, they too are used to pregnant ladies and our worries! Good luck x

Sounds like ligament stretching pains, I got all sorts of funny pains with the last pregnancy and everything was fine

PoppysMom · 28/06/2011 01:41

hannah did they call back?

KatyN · 28/06/2011 11:35

Have a little google of round ligament pain.. if you look at the picture of your round ligament.. does that explain where the pain is? I had this for q few weeks.. until the MW explained WHICH ligaments were causing me grief and all of a sudden I realised.

It's gone now (20 weeks)

yes they did call back at ten past five this morning! But eventually i spoke to someone who assured it would be nothing but normal pains caused by all the changes due to hormones but that if i wanted to be extra safe to go to A&E which I did earlier! Have now seen my gorgeous little baby and everything is absolutely fine, just stretching pains! Thank God! Thanks everyone for your help xxx

Ten past five! That's crazy! But glad all is ok and there's always the added bonus that you got to see your baby early! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x
