hi ive had 2 girls and we are hopefully going to start trying for another baby in another year or so, i was just wondering if anyone knew if they monitor you more closely if u have a history of big babies? my eldest was 8.14 and my youngest was 9.10, i was pushing her out for a hour she kept getting stuck and i lost a lot of blood after as the placenta was so big. also i was a massive 10.14 when i was born so think am just destined for big babies lol does anybody know if they would give me growth scans

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

They tested me for gestational diabetes after my first was born weighing 11lbs they also said they would check babies measurements at 36 weeks but didn't make it that far, 2 nd baby born at 35 weeks and 3rd baby born at 32 weeks, both were big for their gestations

It would depend if there was an obvious cause, the MW looked at all 6f 5in of my DP and said well you're never going to have a small baby are you!

My dad and his brothers and sisters were all big babies, all over 10 lbs

My MIL had two, 10lb something and 11lb something, the second bigger than the first, but a friend of ours' children got progressively smaller!

Mine were 11.2 , 5.15 and 4.4 but the first was the only one to go full term

We have hereditary macrosomia. I was 11-8, my son at 38wks was 8-13 but my PREM twins were 6-7 and 7-1! Had no diabetes, not overweight, me 5'8" DH 6'1".

Sorry, in answer to your question, yes, I got extra scans but then I would have done anyway with them being twins.

I think sometimes they just don't know why it happens , they don't know why my first was so big or why the last two were prem
