Period like pains.. advice please

I'm 37 weeks + 4 today and i've been having period like pains on and off since yesterday evening. I'm confused! i've not had any other signs of labor, show or waters breaking ect, but my DP thinks that this might be the start of something. Could it be that or is it just part of the feeling like crap pregnancy symptoms?

COuld be baby moving down into the birth canal? Getting ready to go. I had period like cramps in early labour, but my labours progressed very quickly so they got stronger after about 5 mins.

Just make sure you have your bag ready just in case, could be any time now! Best of luck to you x

Mine started with a period type cramp, but as I was waiting to see if I would get another pain half an hour later, my waters went! The cramps carried on after this and got stronger and stronger. Oh and I was 37+3 too....

My instinct would be that it is the start of something, so just keep an eye on it, see if there's a pattern, and make sure that bag is ready.

I've had this on and off for the last 19 days, it just gets to the point where I think it might be getting somewhere and then it stops! (38 weeks)

Me too - crampy and occasional tightening across stomach and back for past two weeks. No real pattern though, very frustrating (39+4).

It could be though, you never know - everyone is different!

you must both be getting so annoyed! i just wish i knew what i was doing, i keep thinking everything is a sign of labor.

It could be the start of it! Was for me, but I was 41 weeks and had had no other symptoms prior to that!!! Good luck! Xx
