I'm bleeding, is this normal?

This is my 1st pregnancy and I am 6+6. I've just been to the loo and noticed I was bleeding. I did have a period pain feel and still do. Also (sorry if TMI) but me and DH had sex last nightfor the first time since we found out.

Should I worry? Feel a bit teary and worried. Thanks x

Don't panic. This could well be a harmless cervical erosion that has been irritated by last night's sex. Is your spotting brown, pink, bright red?

It is a sort of watery pinky brown, I do have what feels like bad period pains, worse than I have had for a while.

Try not to worry and call your doctor/MW.

I don't have a MW and the dr surgery is closed.

I have a MW appt on the 30th but will see what happens today and call the surgery tomorrow.

My mum has been over. Bleeding seems to gave slowed a bit but still cramping. I'm going to try and make an appt tomorrow morning to see the MW.
Am crossing all fingers but not really hopeful

i had that bright red blood for 10 hours after sex at 5 weeks 6 days baby was fine had cramps too get in for emergency scan to make sure everything ok xx

also had it again 11 weeks and 13 weeks and ok really hope it goes alrightxx

call doctors first thing or if worried go a and e

Do you have an EPU (early pregnancy unit) nearby? You can self-refer to some of them, others you need a GP/MW referral.

Had quite bad cramping all night and bleeding got thicker and clottier during the night.

Am waiting for the surgery to open so I can see the MW/GP. I don't feel very hopeful, but thank you for your kind words and support. I'll let you know how it goes x

GP was lively, seems I'm 8 weeks, not 7. He did an internal exam and my cervix is closed. No ectopic symptoms either.

He has sent a fax to the hospital requesting a scan either today or tomorrow.

Would feel reassured but been for a wee and a blob of mucasy blood came out (sorry guys) so still not sure

I had vermillion bright red bleeding for a night at six weeks. It was all fine in the end (albeit I did lose a twin, which caused the bleeding). Am now 16 weeks and bled on and off until 13 weeks. Best of luck x
