Just had a head on crash (was only head on with a hedge) I wasn't driving a collegue was, we clipped the wing and then went into the hedge head on - her car bumper is all pushed back inot the wheel, thankfully for once I had my seat belt on (will never drive without it again) think mother instincts have kicked in as well - anyhow, seat belt went tight across my tummy, have felt v weak flutters since - (odd as i've been having v full kicks in comparrision) am not bleeding at all. tried to ring m/w and she's ringing out, do u think it's worth a trip to the hospital? - I'd be more worried if i'd not had the flutters but they're weak.

shall I see how I go? - my friend is so worried about me and baby. I do feel he's fine but want to be sure but don't want to appear over reacting if that makes sence - I feel fine within my self.

perhaps I should keep an eye on his kicks today??

what do I do????? help. sorry it's a bit all over the place. hope I make sence.

go to the hospital and explain, keep trying the midwife, they will give you a scan to check.

I'd go and get it checked out just in case. That way you won't have to spend the rest of the day worrying.

Good luck. xx

superblastofflips · 22/11/2005 09:41

i'd go to the hossy to put your mind at rest

thankfully it wasnt a serious crash... did it happened yesterday?

Lizzylou · 22/11/2005 09:41

Munz, you poor thing.
I would go to Docs/MW for your peace of mind. When I fell the other week I was so shaken up I couldn't stop crying for ages (which is v unlike me) so god knows how you must be feeling.
Don't worry, I'm sure baby is fine, but best to be safe and als to give yourself peace of mind xxx

Bozza · 22/11/2005 09:41

Go for reassurance. No point in worrying all day.

Springchicken · 22/11/2005 09:41

Definitely go Munz. Hope everything is OK

xmasspub · 22/11/2005 09:41

Don't panic. Phone NHS 24 and they may well advise you to go up to your hospital just to be onthe safe side. Maybe get someone else to drive you as you may be slightly shocked.
I'm sure all will be well but don't take any chances.

flamesparrow · 22/11/2005 09:41

With the others, call the maternity unit and they will tell you to head in.

Good luck

hub2dee · 22/11/2005 09:43

Rest of the day, rest of the week, rest of the pregnancy, LOL...

Yeah, a quick check in the Day Assessment Unit would be good ! Go ! You'll get to hear the heart beat, reassure yourself properly !

jersey · 22/11/2005 09:43

Munz go to the hospital and get checked at least you won't be worring then. Good luck, let us know.

puff · 22/11/2005 09:46

munz, my sil was involved in a car accident - not v v serious, but thrown forward heavily etc. She was 20 weeks pregnant, went straight to hospital and they did an ultrasound v quickly to check all was well, so go!

superblastofflips · 22/11/2005 09:46

go go go go go go go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jersey · 22/11/2005 09:51

Have you gone yet munz??????????????????????????????

foundintranslation · 22/11/2005 09:54

If I went to the docs at 18 weeks after getting caught in a door and ramming my PhD thesis into my bump (lol now, scary at the time)... then you should definitely definitely go after a car accident! Sure all will be well but it will reassure you.
Off you go and keep us updated!

munz · 22/11/2005 09:56

Just seen this Munz - Hope everything is ok - let us know xxxx

cupcakes · 22/11/2005 10:28

Hope it's all ok. The baby should be very protected in there. When I was 39 weeks I tripped over whilst walking (doh) and landed on my stomach. So long as I wasn't bleeding or having pains they (the midwives) were fairly relaxed.

superblastofflips · 22/11/2005 10:53

cupcakes - owwww! was you ok at the time??

coppertop · 22/11/2005 12:41

Hope everything's okay, Munz.
