Hi
The last few of days I have had a very strong metallic taste in my mouth after everything I eat and drink and it lasts quite a while, pretty unpleasant. I didn't suffer with this in my last pregnancy, but do know it is a pregnancy symptom but thought it mainly was effective in the first trimester...at this stage is it an indication of me lacking anything or is it just normal?
I only recently found out I was this far along! thought I was about 9 weeks but a dating scan proved otherwise!! so haven't had any blood tests that I would have had at 12 weeks, so just curious as wondered if it was sign that i'm lacking iron which would have come up in bloods (?)
THanks for the help
:)

I had this at about 28 weeks, but alongside it I had really sore gums, a weeks corsodyl mouthwash sorted it out.

If you don't have sore gums then maybe a quick call to your midwife if you are worried. I just remember it being very unpleasant having a horrible taste all the time.

I had this throughout most of my pregnancy.it helps to take regular sips of water

I had this at about the same time - it lasted a couple of weeks but then disappeared. Just always kept a packet of mints on me! Don't know anything about what it might mean, but just to reassure you that you aren't the only one
