ELCS Lister Hospital Stevenage

Hi

I am due to have an ELCS at the Lister Hospital Stevenage on 1 August and wondered if anyone had any opinions or experiences of this hospital they would share with me. This is my second baby. My first labour ended up in an emcs at the QEII in Welwyn Garden City after 36 hours. I recently spent ten hours on the Day Assessment unit at the Lister and wasn't seen by a Doctor due to the number of 'emergencies' that day and I discharged myself in the end. This has caused me to worry about the standard and availability of care there.
Any good or bad experiences would be really helpful.

Hi Kate sorry no experiences but wanted to mark my place as I'm considering going to the Lister.10 hours on the day assessment unit sounds shocking :(

I've had 2 standard deliveries at the Lister. I also have consultant led care there for number3. I have found it good and efficient and the staff kind and considerate. I'm sorry about your bad experience, hopefully it was a one off.
