Does anyone know about this? Dd has had slapped cheek. I've had bloods taken and have active infection apparently. Obviously I'll now avoid pg women nine to twenty weeks as all the searching I've done says that's the dangerous time. But they've asked me in for scan tomorrow. Does anyone know what they're looking for? I really thought not a problem after 20 weeks. After a five day stay in hospital with a baby that wouldn't stay still I was kind of hoping for straightforward now. Due today.

AFAIK there is absolutely no risk beyond 20 weeks. Have had a quick google, scanned the NHS and netdoctor info and they both agree. Maybe they're just being cautious?

I think you're right. I feel slightly frustrated by it tbh, had a bit of a week of it, just got home tues and looking forward to being normal. But it's just a scan, they'll surely have a peek to make sure baby's still lying correctly. But it's a night's slight niggly worry too. What a grump I am! Maybe that's a sign I'll go into labour soon. I think pg brain alive and well - asked the lady who called if I should still come for scan if I've had the baby Grin Blush
