So... Has anyone had any cravings? And if you did what were they?

So far mines has been apple, cheese toasties, tea and ice tea. :)

I love greasy and really spicy food! Never used to...

Also, can't get enough of completely drowned in vinegar chips from the chippy. Gone off the fish though, so large portions of chips that knock your breath away from the vinegar. And pickled eggs..and pickled onions...and pickled everything really, as well as artichokes and chilli crab. Yum yum!

Hmm...may have to get some of the above for dinner now... Hmm

Grapefruits when in the throes of Hyperemesis. Would eat 3 a day. Wierd when so acidic...

Now since about 30 weeks, Granny Smith apples. It's a compulsion! I can eat 3 on the trot.

Timeout bars - one is never enough!

Gone off meat and fish now, apart from mince.

Sleepywombat I hear you on the kalamata olive bread!

DebbieL78 · 16/07/2011 14:10

Broccoli and cheese - together. Rather worryingly ham - and I'm veggie!

GemmaReeto · 16/07/2011 16:21

Mine was McDonalds at first (chicken legend meal with spicy salsa, large of course!) but I love savoy cabbage and mash at the moment!

The odd bowl of hagen daz choc choc chip might slip in there too....

Brushing my teeth with one of those toothbrushes with the rubbery bits.

Disinfectant wipes.

The texture of sponge paint rollers.

voodoomunkee · 16/07/2011 16:37

Not so far with this pg (23 weeks) but I craved washing powder with both the others. I used to have to be dragged out of the washing powder aisle. OH is watching for it and is limiting my trips to the supermarket just in case :) I have gone off food rather than crave anything. No appetite at all.

Dutchie77 · 16/07/2011 17:27

Gone off chocolate for some weird reason. But crave apples, apples, apples.... and pineapple!!

milkyways · 16/07/2011 18:08

With my daughter I craved cheese in the first 12 weeks and then cheese and pickle sandwiches for the rest of the pregnancy. I also went through a stage of craving mud and plaster too, but I think it was due to pica, and once I started taking me prenatals again the craving disappeared.

This time I am craving cloudy lemonade and chicken cooked in any way. Chicken curry, chicken fajitas, chicken enchiladas, KFC.....I just love chicken!! Tomorrow I am going to attempt to make a chicken biryani!

Mine have been all over the place but have mainly been pineapple, chocolate, tea (normally I don't drink tea at all), and salted popcorn. Now we're getting into summer I'm finding myself craving pea pods, strawberries, and raw carrots too. I'm also munching ice by the handful. I like to cling onto my chocolate craving though just to balance it out :)

Earlier on in this pregnancy I wanted to take a swig of my fabric softener because it smelled so yummy and when I was having morning sickness all I wanted to eat was those little goldfish crackers with sesame seeds on that you get in bags of Party Mix.

With DS I had cravings for bread dipped in vinegar, apples but only Washington Reds, frozen grapes, and ice.

CBear6 · 16/07/2011 18:42

Sausages, I get cravings for non-food things too. With DS it was pillows, every time we went to Asda I would buy a pillow and we ended up with around a dozen before DH put his foot down and this time it's socks, I can't stop buying socks, not just for me but for DH and DS and the baby. We'll be drowning in socks by September.

ITryToBeZenBut · 16/07/2011 18:51

Hula hoops. Hmmmmm. Generally in line with carbs and salty food being the only things to stop the nausea (I'm 9w).

I'm a veggie and my OH is convinced- and I think secretly hoping - that I'm going to start demanding rare steaks any day now. He keeps steeing me past the meat counter in tesco in case in trigger some dormant rampant meat urge but really not feeling it.

madmomma · 16/07/2011 20:28

cheese, meat, coleslaw, more cheese, marmite, cheese, curry, did I mention cheese? Bear - I'm so with you! I am absolutely dying to go sock shopping but am absolutely skint. Feel my pain Sad

Moomin1000 · 16/07/2011 20:39

In the first 12 weeks craved cheese, salt & vinegar crisps, mint choc ice cream now i crave milkshakes and gone off tea & coffee.......

StoneBaby · 16/07/2011 20:41

!st trimester was fruits especially nectarines. I was buying about 12 a day! Thankfully it was summer so not too pricey. Or the ready made cut fruits from M&S

del1 · 16/07/2011 20:47

With all 3 of mine, I've craved mcdonalds burgers, and chicken and mushroom pot noodles in the first few weeks.
In the first few months when the morning sickness kicks in, it is salt and vinegar squares / discos or chips
With DS it was then chocolate milkshake for rest of pregnancy.
With DD it was then pizza
with number 3, at 33 weeks it is bombay mix!! Confused
Does anyone think cravings are related to sex of baby?

Deesus · 16/07/2011 20:52

Pickled onion crisps at first.
Then cheese triangles and strawberry nesquick (not necessarily together!)
Big macs/cheeseburgers throughout - I never really felt too bad but yes, any hint of nausea was instantly gone after one!

pregnantmimi · 17/07/2011 11:47

double cheese burgers macdonalds lol, pickled onion monster munch, ice lollies, coco pops, coke (bad i know with caffine), sausage rolls, chesse sandwiches, first trimester could only eat pizza, ice cream and chips thats it lol!! Lot healthyer now apart from the coke and coco pops.

pregnantmimi · 17/07/2011 11:52
