Pregnancy & The Mirena Coil...

I have taken three pregnancy tests today. Each one has shown the second line faintly. I know in myself that I'm pregnant. Has this happened/happening to anyone else here on MN. I am going to the Doctors tomorrow.

It happened to someone I know. It was her third child and she was NOT happy - but it all turned out happily in the end and she came to terms with the PG. Congrats! (I know that's not what you want to hear right now)

Thanks Africagirl1. We would want the pregnancy. I know that there is a high chance of MC when they remove the coil. I am hoping for the best.

I have done another test today negative. It may still be too early to tell. I was told by the Doctor's receptionist to go back once I have a true positive reading. I have worried myself with horror stories online so I will call the Doctors in the morning.

I have come across this by accident but this happened to me ..I got my coil fitted in may 2009 ...july 2009 i had a positive pg test ...bricking it went to docs and did another and it came back negative!!! Phew was all i could say i already have 2 dc and was in no way ready for another ....however had it of been positive i would have accepted it...I think the coil may do this to some people ..got to your doc x

Thank you. I went to the doctors today. He has booked me in for an emergency scan. I am waiting for the hospital to call.

I had a marina coil fitted years ago and after 18mths my period stopped, I had sore boobs etc. 1st pg test was negative, 2nd faint and third negative!

I was determined I was pg and it turned out i wasn't! x

Well nothing showed up on the scan. The test was negative. Although it could still be too early to tell. Either way I will be getting the coil removed next week. We are now used to the idea of a bubba number two! Thank you for you're replies.
