measles in France

I'm going to Paris for three nights at the end of the month and have found out from the dr that I neither had measles as a child (which I thought I did) nor had the measles vaccine. I will be 24 weeks pg when there.

Does anyone have any thoughts please? I'm scared stiff of contracting measles and the potential for miscarriage etc. but everything is booked and paid for... is the trip short enough to be able to get away with it?

I asked my midwife about this as I was in france a couple of weeks ago (am now 26 weeks). She said that it is not an issue if you are over 20 weeks.

I looked at the map on the posted link a few weeks back as we visit northern france regularly (and are doing so in a few weeks when I'll be 24wks ish) - from memory the main outbreak areas seemed to be much further south / south west, not really northern france at all...hope this reassures a little.

I'm pretty sure that the original post wasn't specifically about measles, hence why you might find it difficult to locate... think the title was something along the lines of 'visiting france for hols... what to eat'.... or something similar (if that helps, probably not!).

Thanks everyone! Especially to kettleboiler, that's reassuring! I found the map icravecheese, yes, mostly the south, but Paris seems to be a bit of a hot spot (as I suppose you might expect from a large city). I will go and try not to be too paranoid
