Just wondering how early you first felt your baby move after your first pregnancy. I'm 13+2 and think I might have felt the first twinges but it seems v early to me. You'd think that by my third pregnancy I would know for sure what it feels like but apparently not!

Felt pains under ribs at 16 weeks and nudges at 18, by 20 full on kicks constantly. This is my first but seems quite normal from what others said on here when I asked a few weeks ago. Hope that helps.

Some of the early twinges can be muscles moving making space for the growing uterus. The baby is usually too small to actually do anything early on but its still evidence of the pregnancy making itself known which I still find exciting :)

13-14 weeks for my 1st and 2nd, I'm very sensitive to the movements. Sounds like you are too!

I felt flutters (or 'bubbling' as I called it) from 12 weeks with my first...everyone said it was too early but it was most definitely the baby moving.

icravecheese · 12/06/2011 19:04

15 or so weeks with my 2nd, but not until 19/20 with this one (my 3rd) - turns out I have anterior, low lying placenta this time tho, so mvmts are being muffled.

Defo felt mvmt MUCH earlier 2nd time around compared to first....

15 weeks with number 2, was sat down having a cuppa with my Mum and she got hiccups! She then had them every evening for weeks.

17 weeks for DS

13 weeks for DC2 (due 14th July - eek) - DH could feel the movements from the outside with this one from 16 weeks so he or she is a feisty little thing

Sibella1 · 13/06/2011 00:20

Flutters at 14 weeks with this one (my third).

Now at 19 weeks definite kicks that can even be felt from the outside.

MrsRhettButler · 13/06/2011 00:28

17/18 with dd but i was definitely feeling movement from 13 weeks with this one :)

lindy100 · 13/06/2011 09:12

2nd 14+6.

juuule · 13/06/2011 09:13

2nd -11weeks
3rd - 22weeks

harrygracejessica · 13/06/2011 09:19

1st about 18 weeks
2nd (twins) about 14 weeks
3rd (twins) the night before the scan so 13 weeks.

Imnotaslimjim · 13/06/2011 09:20

13 weeks with no2. People said it was too soon, but that feeling just got stronger til they were proper kicks. Chances are, it is baby you're feeling

Teenytiny · 13/06/2011 13:30

they say after youve had more than 1 baby its sooner.

With DD2 i felt the butterfly's or as i like to call it tickling at 12weeks,
kicks was 16weeks

wearenotinkansas · 13/06/2011 13:35

can't remember when but it was early. Around 13 weeks I think.

pozzled · 13/06/2011 13:38

About 14 weeks for me.

sodthehousework · 13/06/2011 13:43

about 16 weeks just little flutters (only knew that was the baby because this is my 2nd) and stronger movements 18-20 weeks. Placenta is high and at the front so that might hide some of the kicks perhaps.
