I am currently 37 weeks and have a planned csection on wednesday, the doctor gave me steroids as a precaution for lung development in 2 doses on Friday and Saturday and I have woken up on Monday with hard and sore boobs that are leaking really badly, like dripping out....? What the hell is going on. I thought that breast milk came from a hormone in the placenta and only comes in fully after birth? Is this a problem and a sign that my placenta is failing? Oris this a side effect of the steroids?
What can I do to relieve this as it is quite painful?
