Has anyone ever had this before as I have just been told that I have one measuring 6.6 cm and I am quite worried as I have had a normal pregnancy with both my ds1 and ds2. I have been told it can get quite painful.

Bump!

(ie bumping the thread to the top of Active Conversations so you don't htink you're being ignored )

My sil had one when she was pregnant with her first - the doctor kept telling her it was constipation. I think it was fairly painful but they surgically removed it when she was 5 months pregnant, along with her ovary (and she went on to have another child a couple of years later).

Doesn't seem to have caused any problems with the pregnancy or for my nephew (he is a strapping 21 year old now)!

Don't know if that helps put your mind at rest!

discovered i had a ovarian cyst when i was rushed into hospital on christmas eve 2 years ago , was 14 weeks pregnant.
they kept an eye on me had to have alot of scans and had a c-section so they could take cyst out after baby was deliverd.
turned out cyst was on my fallopian tube so they removed the whole tube. havent had any problems since

I have one, about 7cm across hanging off my right ovary. My obstetrician is happy just to monitor it and not bother removing it after the baby is born. He has removed so many of the buggers over the years from me, I'm fairly happy to go with what he says. As for pain, I do have twinges, but am not sure if this is the cyst or the endo scarring stretching with the baby.

i had one in my 2nd pregnancy. it was bl**dy enormous! you could feel it through my tummy if you pressed in the right place . i have lots of extra scans anyway as i have diabetes, & they kept an eye on it. it didn't grow during the pregnancy. my consultant thought it was just due to pg hormones. actually, i don't know what happened to it (dd is now 4 months old). no pain at all though, i only knew it was there 'cos of the scans. hth.
