Awkward Antenatal appt -- thrush on breasts??

This is crazy TMI, so sorry if I offend!

I went to an antenatal appointment this week and the Dr asked if I had any issues I wanted to bring up, and I've had this crusty skin-colored stuff on the tip of my nipples for a few weeks...if not longer...and he got the midwife to take a look and they agreed it was thrush -- basically a yeast infection on my ta-ta's. I was prescibed to use aa anti-fungal cream 2-3 times/day. I've never had a yeast infection anywhere before, so it just feels wrong!

I'm 29 weeks, first baby -- so never breastfed before and can't find anything about it on google except for breastfeeding moms. Any advice or has anyone had this? I feel so dirrrrty!

I have this from time to time, maybe once a week or so mbut only a tiny bit. Flakes off like peeling after sunburn. I thought it was early bits of colostrum! Do they itch? I'm only 23 weeks!

I've had that, am 24 weeks, it's not itchy so I haven't done anything about it! Thought it was colostrum too!

I was told that's just the nipples "warming up"- before the milk production starts the glands all get bigger, so more nipple skin turnover and they make little blobs of skin-coloured cheesy stuff (sorry, TMI!). proper thrush itches, and there's no reason for it to get on your boobs at this point I'd have thought!

Use the cream you've been recommended, but if its still there afterwards it's more likely to be the normal preg related stuff! I had similar with my last pg and at about 25 weeks it changed to little bits of milky stuff (had to use breast pads!)
