Less hairy legs = girl?

I read somewhere that if the hair on your legs seems to become more sparse during pregnancy and is not growing as much then you are having a girl. This certainly seemed to be the case with DD and now I am pregnant for a 2nd time I am sure the same thing is happening again (and I am quite a hairy person!).

Anyone who knows they are having a girl experiencing this? Or had a girl and had the same thing?

Sadly I can't say the same for my tummy which seems to have got more hairy (again as last time)!

My leg hair just doesn't grow at all in pregnancy - it's weird .... And I have 3 boys and a fourth son on the way

My leg hair hasn't grown at all either! am 30 weeks and haven't shaved them in months, and i'm having a boy!

I'm having a girl and am having to shave less.

..............but the babies sex hormones don't cross the placenta into your blood. Thankfully!!

I've just had a little girl and literally only had to shave my legs a handful of times during my pregnancy! Very strange! Unfortunately since having her it's been growing manically!

i have bald patches on my legs and it is a boy

It's a pregnancy thing, nowt to do with gender.

None of the old wives tales have any truth to them. Although there are a couple of studies to suggest that a mother's intuition is right more times than you'd expect through chance. Quite convincingly so iirc.

Thanks, that is interesting.

As for mother's instinct last time I was convinced I was having a boy, for no particular reason whatsoever, and a girl arrived. This time I am thinking 'girl' so I expect it will be a boy!

I am enjoying not having to shave my legs so much though, if only it also worked for armpits...

The no leg hair thing only worked for me during my boy pregnancies. Everything stayed pretty much the same when I had my girl.

I always have hairy legs. Having a boy, and then a girl made no difference to the hairiness Grin
