I am worried because at this rate I will be huge... am only 13/14 weeks and my belly is busting out already. last pregnancy I didnt show until I was 6 months.

I dont remember being this hungry all the time... please tell me it is normal

It makes me really Sad when people use the word starving so lightly.

Yes it is normal. Go eat.

phdlife · 28/05/2011 12:14

I was ravenous too, mamaesi - it was my no.1 pregnancy symptom. My tip would be AVOID TOAST. oh, and don't forget, second pregnancies tend to show sooner, just because everything's a little looser. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Wink

Valiant1 · 28/05/2011 14:27

Coppernoddle · 28/05/2011 15:27

My first two pregnancies I ate normally! I had two girlies. This pregnancy I cannot throw enough food down my throat! And I've just posted too, I'm 30 weeks and haven't gained weight yet!! So I'm going to keep eating!! :) !!!

Coppernoddle · 28/05/2011 15:28

Oh, I'm having a boy :) :) :)

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 28/05/2011 15:33

I think our bodies are good at telling us what we need. As long as you're eating healthily, you should be alright...

nickelbabe · 28/05/2011 15:39

ooh, me, me, me!!

excpet, it's calmed down recently.

but yep, starving.

copper - don't say that - i don't want a boy :(

nickelbabe · 28/05/2011 15:40

anyway, if you're worried about putting on weight - eat fruit and bread without butter and love fat spread.
that'll fill you without fattening you (speaking the voice of experience here - too many biscuits until I discovered the cream crackers with low fat philly)

nickelbabe · 28/05/2011 15:41

me again.
also, remember your muscles know where to go this time, and you will show sooner.

lolajane2009 · 28/05/2011 15:59

i go through times of hunger and times of no appetite... i am 24 + 1 and trying to fight the hunger when all i can think about is food...

i've also got hubby to hide the scales so i dont get obsessive.

Scheherezadea · 28/05/2011 16:02

Yes me!

Although I then eat loads and get really bad indigestion, yuck!

MrsVidic · 28/05/2011 16:45

I physically need melted cheese, constantly

curleywurley2 · 28/05/2011 19:05

Ahhhhrrgg im always hungry!!! Trying to eat healthy snacks like carrot sticks, apples, cereal bars etc but cheesy beans are my weakness!!!! Yummy yummy, just the thought makes my mouth water lol!!
Is it true if you crave sweet stuff its a boy and if you crave savoury then its a girl? (might have got that the wrong way round haha). im currently 14 weeks and would really like a boy xx p.s im off to make some cheesy beans xxx

curleywurley2 · 28/05/2011 19:07

Shit ive no cheese!! Arrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh!

pregnantmimi · 29/05/2011 00:48

i put on a stone and a half in 8 weeks could not stop eating even thou i felt sick ok now at 10 weeks its calmed down xx

Yukana · 29/05/2011 09:40

Getting the same feeling here! What I used to eat pre-pregnancy (1-2 meals a day, I just wasn't hungry!) can't fill me at all! I must be eating about 2-3 large meals a day at the moment, and have to regularly snack otherwise I get so hungry it actually hurts! 29 weeks at the moment.

davidtennantsmistress · 29/05/2011 10:06

I was ravenous yes around 17 weeks (co insided with mega teeth problems so couldn't eat properly but was having 2 huge meals a day plus breakfast & snacks.

has now subsided majorly and am lucky to be able to manage one medium meal a day with snacks. I've had major things for cheesy jacket potatoes, cuecumber salad cream and crunchy peppers. totally random, but the sandwich van chap knows i'm PG so will gladly make me up whatever I ask for no matter how odd. Blush

Valiant1 · 30/05/2011 16:09

i wanted choc with both my boys to the extrem of my first pg i would eat a full sara lee choc gatux a day to my self but with my girls it is salt / prawn coctail seabrook crisps and brown toast cold! oh and it is a girl this time too :)

nickelbabe · 31/05/2011 11:33

curley - can't be - I've been craving both in equal quantities Grin

booksandchoc · 31/05/2011 11:42

me me me and im only 6 weeks! but i cant ever find anything i want to eat and its driving me insane. i end up eating because i need to and not enjoying anything at all :(

nickelbabe · 31/05/2011 11:52

you need to sort out your snack box.

When you're not hungry, go for a quick shop and get lots of things you think you'd like to eat.
(cheesey things are useful, and crackers and cream cheese, that kind of thing)
even pasties abs sausage rolls that you can freeze and defrost/cook when you want them.
