Everyone is telling me that I'm carrying my bump high and that I'm definitely having a boy (so much so I'm almost believing it!). We have decided to wait and not find out the gender but I can't resist trying to second guess.

Did anyone out there carry high and it was a girl?

My bump is as low as it could be without falling out and is a boy!

I carried both my girls high, am 23 weeks with number 3 and high again, we havent found out the sex yet, but makes no odds to me, just the way I carry I suspect.

Congrats on your pregnancy by the way to both of you Smile

I'm having a girl and my bump is high - as it was with my son. Shape and size of bump and sex are a load of tosh, depends on your frame, the baby's size, how it's lying. the fluid and all sorts of factors. People can't help but trying to guess though, all part of the fun.

It's fun to speculate...
DC1 - Boy... Low and all in the front ( couldnt tell I was pg from behind)
DC2 & DC3 -Girls... both high but I looked very 'round' I put on weight everywhere

currently 36 weeks with DC4 ( a boy) and a low but very neat, out the front bump.

Mine was high until this week (22) when he's gone a bit higher. He also goes back low in different parts of the day.

G1nger · 27/05/2011 17:14

sorry, meant to start by saying he was low until 22weeks...

harrygracejessica · 27/05/2011 18:15

If you read here, it's all a myth anyway - as this Dr says, male and female babies can be carried high or low depending on how far into the pelvis they are - the way you carry is the way you carry:

Yep. Everyone insists I MUST be having a boy, but alas, I have a secret and they are wrong wrong wrong!

Coppernoddle · 28/05/2011 09:44

Yay!! Your having a little girly!! Are you going to tell them or what to see there faces when she comes out!! I carried exactly the same with all three of mine, I have two girls and this one is a boy! Every pregnancy looks like a bowling ball up my jumper and nothing from behind! Before we found out with this one everyone was convinced it was a girl, but I had second thoughts as the pregnancy itself has been so different! I was ecstatic when we were told we were having a boy, more so I could tell everyone they were wrong!!! In your face the whole of the village!!!! :)

Coppernoddle · 28/05/2011 09:45

Harrygracejessica, goodness me how do you cope!! I'm thinking I'm going to struggle with my third, you must be like wonder woman!! :)

daimbardiva · 28/05/2011 10:03

My friend just had a girl and carried her VERY high

carrielou2007 · 28/05/2011 20:21

Everyone took one look at my bump and very matter of factly told me it was a boy (as if saying it is sunny on a sunny day you know, can't be wrong) very high, all out front, not looking pregnant from behind. I knew dd was a girl so kept quiet. Carried exactly the same so convinced myself another girl, nope ds. Gives people something to talk about other than piles I suppose!!
