leaking waters 15 weeks?

Hello first post on here, Had amnio yesterday at 15 week exactly. Everything appeared to go ok however when I arrived home realised waters were leaking. Straight back to hospital and had scan. Baby appeared ok and there was stiill fluid around. I have been told to rest up and go back next Wed for a further scan I have antibiotics in case of infection, Has anybody experienced this? I feel like I am just waiting for something bad to happen now. Any help appreciated.

It hasn't happened to me but has to a friend. It is a common after effect and I think you can also bleed a little afterwards and in most cases it will stop on its own. My friend was told to rest completely for a few days, monitor her temp, keep an eye out for pain etc (infection) and that it should be fine. It was. They rescanned her a week later and everything was okay.

It must be terrifying I know but I know my friend was very reassured by the hospital who had even warned that it might happen as an after effect but were clear that it doesn't mean something's 'wrong' per se.

thank you for your message. It is good to hear there is some hope. midwife been out today and babies heartbeat was fine. She has tokld me to rest for 2 weeks so I am keeping fiingers crossed.
