Measurement question . . .

Had my 38 wk appointment yesterday and am measuring 37 so nothing to worry about. My question is about the rate of growth though. I've only 'grown' according to the measurements 2cm in the past 4 weeks. Does that sound okay? The mw didn't mention anything but then I'm not sure how much they look at the previous things anyway when you're measuring fine. I didn't bring it up as I didn't look until I got home!

I was told by a midwife that doing bump measurements after 37 wks are pretty inaccurate, as by then your baby may have started to engage and drop, and therefore the measurements start to become a little meaningless, IYSWIM. I wouldnt worry about it at all. With my last pregnancy, I saw my midwife at 35 wks, then was meant to see her at 40 wks but my baby arrived bang on my due date, so there was no bump measurement after 35 wks, so I was none the wiser about growth or size in the last 5 weeks. Am sure he/she is just fine :)
