BFP no 2 but no symptoms...

Last time, I somehow managed to get a nasty case of foodpoisoning to coincide with finding out I was preggers. So - from day 1, I was passing out, vomiting, nauseous and just generally a wet rag. I then ended up having constant nausea and gagging until about 16 weeks, and think I last vomited around week 28... so the whole "it is not an illness" mainly just made me feel like punching someone as I felt anything but ill.
DS arrived a bit early, but is a big and healthy boy... just like everyone kept telling me, feeling rubbish was a good sign, it was a strong pregnancy.

And now, I've poas about 20 times. Definitely a BFP... but I feel so NORMAL.
Granted, am only 5 weeks, but I can't help but think that I should feel something.

Please come and tell me you've been through this, and that it's all going to be fine.

Wait till 6 weeks....

Congratulations btw :)

lolajane2009 · 24/05/2011 11:50

i started getting symptoms about week 7.

Bartimaeus · 24/05/2011 11:51

I was also going to say wait til 6 weeks!!

DH was reluctant to believe the BPF as I "didn't have any symptoms"...one week later he took it all back!

mosschops30 · 24/05/2011 11:57

What are you expecting to feel?
Never sick on 3 dcs, i would never have known i was pg if it wasnt for the test.
I dont get this obsessive symptom spotting!

Broodzilla · 24/05/2011 12:05

thanks guys... :)

mosschops erm... anything? Because last time, from day 1, I was sick as a dog. If the way I feel now is how all those people who say "it's not an illness" feel, then I am not surprised they happily go around blooming.
I am obsessively symptom spotting because of the discrepancy between this time, and last time.

My friend had 3 boys, terrible sickness with DS1 and DS3 but absolutely nothing with DS2. She found it very hard to believe that she was pregnant until the 12 week scan! Nothing to worry about, just hope it stays away!

Hi, am in same situation. First pregnancy constant nausea from about 4 and 1/2 weeks till about 9 weeks, second pregnancy awful sickness, developed hyperemesis. This pregnancy currently 6+4 and apart from some slight nausea not much else and really don't feel pregnant at all, am convinced something isn't right and my hormone levels aren't right :( having an early scan tomorrow so should know more then. Just don't understand how pregnancy can be so different to my others and still be ok.

d0gFace · 24/05/2011 13:16

Only started feeling sick at around 7 weeks. My mum keeps going on about having no symptoms with me and she didnt feel any different untill about 20 weeks.

Broodzilla · 25/05/2011 07:16

Maybe I'm just lucky this time, or maybe it will kick in later...
Helenlouisey how did your scan go?

Congratulations!

FWIW, I didn't have any symptoms until almost 6 weeks last time, and around 7 weeks this time. So I wouldn't worry about it - be thankful that it's easier this time around.
