overeaten, stretching muscles or something more sinister??

any thoughts?

i'm in the overeaten/baby moved camp but i'm not too sure.

should say i'm getting little kicks from the baby not as much as normal, however if he's moved & I have an anteria placenta anyways might not feel too much.

anyhow had a HUGE jacket tatta and salad for lunch (well not huge 3 weeks ago but apparently huge now my tummy's obv shrunk?!?) this has been since then.

basically I have an apendix scar from 1 years ago, now & again when not PG I get a sharp pain across it like it's stretching, when PG with DS it had the odd pain/niggle, and have previously had the odd niggle. however this today is more than the odd niggle it's me not being able to bend down, lift anything heavy, i'm shufflling around but partly doubled over as to straighten up feels like my muscles will snap.

so have I eaten too much & am mega bloated, or has the baby moved into a position whereby he thinks it's fab to kick my scar & cause me loads of pain - it could well of course be all of the muscles in that area stretching back out again as he grows.

will be listening into the doppler tonight but wondered if anyone else has done the same/if it's worth ringing the MW. am 26+5

Not sure if this is similar but last pregnancy I had 2 bouts of similar pain which MW said was probably DD trapping some bowel/intestine. It took a good 36 hours to pass. Wasn't really much better in any position and I couldn't really manage to do anything because I was in so much pain - probably roughly where an appendix scar would be if I had one!

I'm about the same stage as you now with 2nd pg and tbh if I eat too much it hurts round the edge of my ribs but is better if I lie down. Definitely can't eat as much as I could a few weeks ago but I keep forgetting!

Hope you feel better soon.

I think that's it, just had an hour and a half in the bath & still the same. think it's going to be a little & often deal now.

pretty sure bubs is ok as has been kicking well in the bath. :( i'm sure it's nothing serious. :( and I really enjoyed that cheesey jacket with chic mayo as well. lol.

I had similar pain too, but turned out i was constipated with a blocked bowel! went away after a few days x

possibly that then - do you think it's worth taking the lactouse stuff again (horrid horrid evil tasting stuff) for a few days? might help, just feel so fully & heavy right now.

(should have said the scar is 18 years not 1)

iv just re-read ur thread, the pain is on your right side? mines was on left where the bowel is but similar description of pain, so im not to sure what the pain could be, possibly just the scar as my 2 section scars sometimes pull and give me a little bit of discomfort. say to ur mw at your next appt x

yes it is the right side, my tummy has a littler erm over hang usually and it's right on that part. seems to be better today so hopefully it means the blighter's moved, will try to have a good clearing out as well and see if that helps, seeing the mw next tues, and also on weds as well for the gtt.
