Im 9 weeks pregnant and for the last few days I have had a feeling Im having a boy. Just like to point out I dont have any preference for a boy. I have always felt happy for either and very happy Im pregnant. It will be interesting to see if my hunch is correct. I also knew really a few days after conception I was pregnant before I did a test as I had a "feeling". Just wanted to know if anyone else had experianced this. x

With DC1 I was convinced all the way through I was having a boy. We never found out at the scan. It came out a girl!

Now pregnant with DC2. Have also been convinced it is a boy. Scan yesterday confirmed this :)

Lollyheart · 21/05/2011 20:05

Convinced dc1 was a girl, I was right.

Convinced dc2 and dc3 were girls but Botha boys.

22+6 with dc4 feeling it's a boy this time, will find out in sept if I am right Smile

I was convinced DC1 was a boy and was right.

I was also sure that DC2 is a girl - the scan says that it is but not completely sure until she arrives.

I wouldn't say I knew I was pregnant with DS1 but definitely knew for a week before the test this time :)

Nice to hear that other people have a "hunch" its funny cause my sister texted today saying she thought I was having a boy without me even saying anything and we are all a bit intuitive in this family!! Will see what happensxx

I think a boy - but I'm not sure. My sister thinks it's a girl. I didn't bother finding out scan, mostly because we don't mind either way but also because my DD1 was a boy as per her scan

shelleylou · 21/05/2011 22:55

With DC1 mum and I both thought i was having a boy mum wouldnt tell me what she thought it was just incase she was wrong till i had a scan confiriming. We were both right.
Im now expecting DC2 and we both think its a girl hopefully will find out in a few weeks if we are right

Originally I thought I was having a boy however more recently I've been thinking a girl.... Can't wait to find out! I'd be happy with either :) just want to start think of names and things to buy him/her etc.

tummytickler · 22/05/2011 03:43

I think I am having a girl. I don't mind either way (I already have 2 girls and 2 boys), but I am only 4+6 and I already feel sick, just as i did with my girls.

paternal · 22/05/2011 08:11

We both wanted a girl for our first child, but just new it would be a boy. The scan revealed it is indeed a boy! :) and he's being a little sod already.

Mum2be79 · 22/05/2011 09:48

Everyone (including me) thinks it will be a boy. I even did the chinese gender calender thingy (for fun of course!) and whereas I thought it said 'girl' it actually said 'boy' as I got my chinese age thing wrong!

Nobody thinks I'm having a girl. I have no preference.

Cattleprod · 22/05/2011 09:54

The midwife used the doppler the other day and said the speed of the heartbeat was exactly halfway between a girl and a boy (carthorse/train?), so looks like I'm having a hermaphrodite!

KatieWatie · 22/05/2011 09:58

I have a 'feeling' I'm having a boy but everything else (chinese predictor, family history, DH's previous XY/XX ratio!) tells me I'll be having a girl.

I've chosen not to find out and I can't wait to have it confirmed or be surprised at the birth! I also have no preference.

Yukana · 22/05/2011 10:54

Me and DP had a very strong feeling we'd be having a girl. Lo' and behold, at the 20 week scan it turns out that LO is indeed a girl and we're over the moon! :)

You never know however, but it is nice to have that feeling, especially if it turns out to be right!

pregnantmimi · 22/05/2011 18:39

will let you know if im right lolxx

hubby assumed little one would be a girl as his brother has 2 girls but from early on I just knew it was aboy. Just under 4 weeks ago the 20 week scan proved my hunch was right and i give his parents the grandson I hoped I would.

Dualta · 22/05/2011 21:08

I was convinced we were having a girl because:

  1. DP has loads of sisters
  2. Awful MS from 7 to 18 weeks

But the scan showed a boy!
