Hey,

I'm due on 18/01/2011 - baby number 2, tried for this one, however only came off the pill 8 weeks ago and now 7 weeks pregnant.....was not expecting it to happen so fast! I've spent all day today stressing out as I saw the tinniest speck of blood today and now have a pain lower left side of my tummy! I don't have midwife appointment until Wed (8th June) and cant wait for my scan dates so I can rest knowing if the bump is ok. Even though this is my second (i'm 31) I found it really hard telling my mum, as she looks after my 2 year old 2 days a week - She is very excited though. Told my boss in work and was overheard by the office gossip so now everyone knows so I really hope the spotting/tummy pain come to nothing.

alittlebitpregnant - I had my first aged 28 and was in total denial about being pregnant until he was about 6 weeks old!! I never got my head round it, but it made pregnancy a lot less stressful as I simply could not believe it! Make the most of the next 7 months and be yourself, because come Jan you will not know whats hit you!

Hope everyone is feeling as well as can be expected what with all the constipation/diorreah/cramps/sickness etc. The joys of pregnancy :)

Hi everyone, feeling very sickly today. Wasnt this bad with the other two but then i was 10 years younger!! WHAT AM I DOING!!! lol

GerriM why dont you visit your Early Pregnancy Unit for a scan, at least it will put your mind at rest. You can usually turn up in the morning with no appointment needed. Hope everything is ok for you xx

Hi everyone, congratulations to all the new people!

I haven't posted for a while as I had a horrible day last week with really bad pains and some bleeding. I went straight to the Early Pregnancy Unit. Getting there and waiting around was really awful as i assumed I was miscarrying (again) as the pains were so bad. They did a scan and saw a sac in the right place, but couldn't tell me whether everything was ok and right for dates or whether it had already stopped growing - they said it could go either way and to come back in 10 days!! Needless to say this has been the longest week ever - I am on day 8 now and am almost counting the hours until Friday morning when I will know one way or the other. The only positive thing is that I haven't had any severe bleeding (sorry TMI) but other than that I have no idea. Am so tired of waiting!!!

In the meantime the pregnancy symptoms continue - nausea and tiredness and really heightened sense of smell! If DH has had even 1 beer I can't even go near him for fear of gagging! I really sympathise with all you guys working in offices and having to share your personal space with people who don't smell that great or make disgusting noises!

GerriM I agree with Linda40, if you have an Early Pregnancy Unit near you then definitely go for a scan (it will be an internal scan at this stage) to reassure you. The nurses at our one are really great.
